What is a Practice Revenue Optimization (PRO)?

MD Synergy helps medical practices optimize their revenue with our integrated PRO Solution. This solution encompasses every aspect of your back and front office processes including: revenue cycle management, transcription services, document management, EMR, medical supply ordering, patient information exchange and business office staffing services. We also offer a wide range of practice management tools, from training and customization of forms to consolidated financial reports and strategic growth plans.

What size of practice can you support?

We typically support clinics with 1-8 clinicians although we’ve worked with clinics of all sizes. We have made advancements in technology and data management that make our internal operations consistent and efficient with any workload.

We’re also internally structured to cater to the individual needs of each practice. When you sign up with our company you have a whole team dedicated to your practice. You’ll have specific contacts with names of people you can talk to every day.

What is the process for implementing the PRO Solution?

MD Synergy’s PRO Solution is a fully integrated solution designed to effectively assist you in managing the day-to-day operations of your business so you can focus on what’s most important: patient care. Because PRO is a fully integrated solution, implementation into your practice is taken one step at a time starting with the critical elements of billing and collections and transcription services. Then, working with your front office staff, clinical team and overall business practices, we chart a course for customizing the PRO Solution to your practice so you have a solution meeting the current and future needs of your practice.

Pricing

How much do you charge?

Unlike other solutions that have a high up-front hardware of software investment or fixed fee, we charge a percentage of your “collected” dollars. That means we don’t get paid unless you get paid.

We believe once you’ve worked with MD Synergy you’ll see this is a small amount to pay when investing in the success and growth of your practice. If you fully adopt and embrace our process you can realize substantial revenue increases, which more than pays for our services.

We already do billing in-house, and it’s cheaper. Why should we use you?

Will I ever be charged for any upgrades or updates?

No. Because the MD Synergy PRO Solution is a web-based system that is centrally hosted and managed, user-driven feature enhancements can be made regularly at no additional cost.

Technology and Training

Is the MD Synergy PRO Solution completely web-based?

Yes, our entire solution is web-based. All you need to access the system is a Windows-based PC with Internet access and Internet Explorer® web browser software (version 5.5 or higher).

We don’t have an IT staff. What kinds of technical infrastructure and know-how do we need in order to use the MD Synergy PRO Solution?

No IT staff? No problem! We deploy the solution, conduct the backups, make any updates and upgrades and keep the back-end systems running for you.

Then as part of setting up our new clients, MD Synergy provides a technical assessment of your infrastructure needs. This includes identifying assess points, providing hardware quotes and determining the best networking solutions to fit the needs of your office.

How do I get high-speed (broadband) Internet access at my office?

High-speed Internet access service is offered by numerous local and national providers. Our new clients can either set up their own access, or MD Synergy can assist our clients in selecting and signing up for these services. In fact, most of our customers have obtained their high-speed Internet service through MD Synergy.

How do you help us through implementation?

We’ve developed an implementation process that minimizes the disruptions to your practice operations. We assign a dedicated Account Manager who oversees the entire implementation with your account and technical teams. The Account Manager provides you and your staff the forms, procedures and training needed to make the transition to our system a smooth one. In addition, your dedicated account and technical team is constantly available to answer ongoing questions and provide support whenever you need it.

What is the typical training process?

We recognize that medical practices are very busy and are "cash flow" sensitive. As a result, our training schedule is customized for each office. In addition, we offer a flexible training schedule instead of only offering consecutive days for training, which is what our competitors typically offer. Our training can be scheduled during off-business hours (nights/weekends) or on non-consecutive training sessions throughout the first 30 days of going "live" with our system. Most offices typically require between 1-2 days of actual on-site training, followed closely by direct communications with the training personnel.

Our main emphasis during the initial training session is to focus on successful claims submission, in order to ensure that there is no drop in collections for our new clients.

After on-boarding, training and support is ongoing and immediate. Our exclusive Instant Message system allows for instant answers to your questions as they come up through the day.

Security and Compliance

How safe is the data?

We take great measures to ensure that your data is safe. All system data is backed up on an hourly basis and full tape back-ups occur daily.

How secure is your site?

The site utilizes Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology to encrypt all data communication. The MD Synergy system is hosted by a global managed hosting company that provides a secure computing platform using the latest security technologies that address all layers of security.  

Are you HIPAA compliant?

As a healthcare information technology provider, we must follow all federal and local rules and regulations. We have aggressively implemented processes to comply with the latest HIPAA guidelines (which currently involves only data sets and transaction policies). As HIPAA continues to evolve and final regulations are published, we will follow suit and continue to comply along industry practices.
